Meet the Founders

Ann Perkowski is a certified master gardener who’s studied landscape design at the New York Botanical Garden. She marries a beautiful design with the art of selective hand pruning. Since 2011, Ann has taught the pruning fundamentals class at NYBG. She’s studied pruning techniques during residencies at Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, the French Dordogne and Claude Monet's Garden in Giverny. Her garden designs combine high-performance trees, shrubs and perennials with an accent on our most beautiful natives.

This visit provided an opportunity to learn about the unique care of their pollarded trees, espaliers, roses and more. Download the PDF to read about Ann’s experience published in the Garden Conservancy Newsletter.

Lady Clippers was featured in Bedford Post Magazine. “Nip and Tuck” by Nancy McLoughlin. For details about how the company came together and how it’s run, download the full article.
